Did you know that 1 in every 13 babies born in the UK is born premature? Caring for a baby born pre-term can be tedious as well as mentally, physically and emotionally draining. Recent Lockdown restrictions have made this experience even more tasking for affected families.
Founded by London-based mother of 2 premature babies, Ola Adegbenro, Colourful Beginnings is a UK charity which aims to bring hope, support and critical resources to families of premature and sick babies in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and beyond.
In addition to creating a supportive
community for families at various stages of caring for their premature babies, over the past 4 years, the charity has delivered Christmas Care Packages across the UK to families with babies in NICU over Christmas. These contain crucial and not easily accessible items needed by parents to start caring for their little ones.
This year, they want to reach hundreds of families across the country with these Care Packages. This is why they have partnered with Gospel singer Sarah Teibo who will be donating 50% of the proceeds from her Christmas single ‘Hear the Sound’ to make this happen.
